Most people have a sense of the mind-body connection, recognizing how stress is a likely contributor to tight shoulders, low back pain, etc. NeurOptimal® is a neurofeedback program that provides training for the brain, teaching it to mitigate stress and other challenges that undermine good health. Think of NeurOptimal® as Modern Mindfulness. As your brain learns, it enhances cerebral performance, arming the brain with the tools it needs to protect the body, mind, and spirit as a whole.

Practitioners and clients report improved mental acuity, better sleep, increased athletic performance, expedited healing post-concussion, enhanced mood and mood regulation, improved memory, more focus, and less stress.

NeurOptimal® monitors electrical activity on the scalp, providing real-time feedback directly to the brain. The brain becomes capable of processing the feedback, and regulating itself accordingly. Training your brain with NeurOptimal® is similar to looking in the mirror and making adjustments. Training the brain with NeurOptimal allows it to be more fit and flexible, making coping with life easier, inner calm more attainable, and enhanced well-being a realistic expectation.

Founder of the Inner Ocean Center for Healing, Mindi is a keynote speaker, retreat leader and teacher. She is the author of Everyday Chinese Medicine, Make Medicine With Your Life, and a contributing author to the Trauma Toolkit and Singing Our Heart’s Song.

Mindi specializes in helping women heal from the myriad of ways trauma reveals and repeats itself through the family lineage: anxiety, depression, imposter syndrome, lack of belonging, perfectionism, fragmentation, outsider syndrome, introversion, and grief. She also holds space for and supports women all along the mothering journey from miscarriage, fertility challenges, postpartum concerns, to the laboring and birthing mother.

Mindi views birth as one of many important rites of passage and assists women through the birthing journey at their homes, in the wilderness, in birth clinics, and at hospitals. As an acupuncturist and doula, she guides women through labor and birth both in the US as well as in a birth clinic at the border of Burma and Thailand–where she first learned the Indigenous ways of birthing. Mindi believes strongly in the power of women and the transformation that is possible when they come together. She longs to restore a sense of sovereignty, resilience, and connection for women around the world.

She is the founder of the international nonprofit Inner Ocean Empowerment Project, providing holistic healthcare and education to women and children through volunteer service missions to underserved populations around the world and in the U.S. She was featured in Dr. Oz’s The Good Life magazine for her work in Indian slum communities, Burmese refugee birth clinics and earthquake-ravaged areas of Nepal.

Mindi is a graduate of Naropa University’s Contemplative Psychology program and holds a Masters degree in Classical Five Element Acupuncture from the Institute of Taoist Education and Acupuncture. She lives with her family and rescued pit bulls in the foothills of Colorado.
